Klyde Warren Park is my new happy place. After a ten year planning process, this little 5 acre gem is open to connect downtown and uptown Dallas. The new park is one of the first real green spaces in downtown Dallas that encourages people to eschew the hustle and bustle of the city and relax for a bit, soaking up the sun and a bit of culture. That appeals most to me as a parent, for I have long enjoyed this section of the city, and come often to visit the symphony, the art museum, and the Nasher Sculpture Center. In the past though, as soon as we had hit our culture fix, we left the concrete jungle and headed back to the suburbs. Now, there is a new place for the kids to play, and the green space makes the city just a bit more comfortable and inviting.
